« In view of the University of Lüneburg’s long-standing institution-critical tradition of teaching in the fields of fine arts and visual studies, it suggests itself for Halle für Kunst to newly put the concept of institutional criticism on the agenda and have it assessed by the next generations. It remains undecided whether this will lead to a new, third generation of institutional criticism or to the dismissal of this programme. The art students (about e.g. 10) are asked to realise an exhibition that does not juxtapose individual works of art, but instead presents the results of an intensive debate among the participants that reflects upon and analyses their own conditions of production. »
